A Large Round table with a waist carved in "mythic knot" motif for longevity and health, extremely thick apron shaped convexly, carved with traditional floral patterns. Besides wide solid burl wood for both tops, the most glory of this table is its strong legs curved inwards and the feet were featured in animal's claw, 19th century, Qing Dynasty, acquired in Jiangsu Province, camphor wood and burl wood.
In old China camphor wood was ideal material for making cabinets, tables and other strong and wear proof furniture. Its unique fragrance makes furniture more resistant to rot and worm infestation.     Photos show only half of this round table in display.
